Founder of Buntu Foundation visited King Khaled Hospital and Military Hospital

On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in the framework of the celebration of International Women’s Day, the President of the Buntu Foundation paid a visit to two women who recently gave birth to triplets at King Khaled Hospital. Founder of Buntu foundation granted to each woman several gifts including 75 kg of rice, 30 kg of beans, 10 kg of sugar, 10 kg of flour porridge, a dozen boxes of powder milk, two kinds of cloths, thermos, baby bottles and soaps.

For Her Excellency Reverend Denise Nkurunziza, that visit was part of the month celebration dedicated to women. She said the birth of triplets is a miraculous thing in Burundi. It is also a charge to the mother who will breastfeed three babies while she has only two breasts. This type of case requires unwavering support for these children to have good health. Founder of Buntu foundation also appealed to all Burundians to support these women who are in this situation.

After that visit to King Khaled Hospital, Her Excellency Denise Nkurunziza went to the Military Hospital to visit another woman who gave birth to triplets who, after a few days of their birth, unfortunately lost their lives. In that visit, the Spouse of the Head of State had the objective of comforting the mother who still be under treatment of doctors. The latter benefited 75kg of rice, 30kg of beans and an envelope of money.

In both hospitals, Founder of Buntu foundation also provided wheelchairs to maternity services to facilitate the movement of mothers before or after giving birth. Each hospital had ten wheelchairs.
